Eileen Kennedy

Eileen Kennedy, age 68 of North Little Rock, passed away peacefully in the presence of friends and loved ones on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born April 13, 1947 in Ft. Smith Arkansas; she was the daughter of the late Edward Riley Jones Jr. and Carolyn Toland Jones.

Eileen was a United States Navy Veteran who was a faithful and active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in North Little Rock where she served as a member of the Daughters of the King and St. Luke's Altar Guild, as well as a Lay Eucharist Minister and Worship Leader, Lector and Altar Server. One of Eileen's greatest accomplishments was after her retirement, when she decided to go back to college to obtain her English Degree. Eileen will be remembered for her kind spirit, her love for animals and for being a friend to all those around her.

Survivors include her sister Betty Contorer of Deerfield, Illinois; three nieces, a nephew; her very special close friends Legina Boswell, Jan Hoskins, the Rev. Dr. Joanna Seibert, Sabrina Nelson, Martha Mayland, Rebekah Colins and Liz Callihan, along with a host of other friends and church family.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in North Little Rock with a reception to follow. Entombment will be held at St. Luke's Columbarium in North Little Rock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Pulaski County Humane Society at 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd, Little Rock, AR 72210 or St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 4106 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, AR 72116.
