Eileen Frost

Eileen Veronica Diggins Frost of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away at her home on August 7, 2016, just 19 days before her 90th birthday, and 18 days before the 65th anniversary of her marriage to her husband, C. E. "Mike" Frost.
She is survived by: her husband, Mike; daughter, Terri Pesnell (Dr. Larkus); daughter, Mary Sweade (Greg); son, Edward Frost; daughter, Nancy Frost (Clayton Johnson); son, John "Jack" Frost (Candy); daughter-in-law, Christine Kelly Frost; sister, Margin Daukus; and sister, Bernadette Schick. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her brothers, John Diggins, Tom Diggins, Bill Diggins, and Leo Diggins; and her sisters, Marion Vail and Ann Therese Plumb.
Eileen was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Anne Whalen Diggins. She attended school and business college in Chicago. She was married in 1951 and had five children in Chicago before moving to Michigan. The family moved to North Little Rock in 1967 on a "temporary" basis, and, with a couple of multi-year excursions to Oklahoma in the interim, remained in Arkansas for 49 years.
Eileen was a frequent golfer most of her adult life. She enjoyed music and sang with the Sweet Adelines for years. While her children were in school she was a regular participant in school activities. She was always active in church functions and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
In her later years, Eileen had the opportunity to travel with Mike to her parents' home in Ireland, as well as Italy, Germany, and numerous visits to her children and grandchildren across the country.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 9th, followed by a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m., at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 10th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
