Effie Clare

Effie Mae Clare, 89, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born October 5, 1921, at Beebe, Arkansas, to Charles and Lessie (Vermillion) Barentine, and she died Sunday, July 17, 2011. She was a charter member of Union Valley Baptist Church, and was a great mother and grandmother.
Effie Mae is survived by her daughter, Maedean Johnson (Scott) of Beebe; one granddaughter, Diane Daws (Lonnie), of Beebe; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Hooper (Greg) of Fort Hood, Texas and Hunter Collie of Beebe; two great-great-grandchildren, Samuel Hooper and Jakob Hooper; sister Geneva Pettypool (Herbert); brother Joel Barentine; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; her parents; and fourteen brothers and sisters.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Stoney Point Cemetery.
