Edwin Oglesby

Edwin "Gene" E. Oglesby, 89, of Little Rock, died March 5, 2015. Born in Little Rock to Sam and Hazel Falwell Oglesby, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and retired from International Harvester Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church where he served on several church committees. Gene liked to hunt, fish, play Dominos and golf.

Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Winston Oglesby, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pat Jolly Oglesby; sisters, Mary Evelyn Blaylock of Mt. Ida and Linda L. Brown of Little Rock; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Harriett Akins-Banman.

Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 9820 W. Markham, Little Rock, AR 72205.
