Edward Herman Toland

Edward Toland, age 65, passed away on June 12, 2023. He was born on February 17, 1958, in Little Rock, AR. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in NLR and graduated from NLR Ole Main, class of 1976.

Ed recently retired after over 40 years from the NLR Wastewater. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Ann Toland, father-in-law Lester Thomason, and nephew Casey Hayes. Ed is survived by his wife Connie Thomason Toland, daughters Rachel Toland Wofford (David) of Jonesboro, and Sarah Toland of the home; Three brothers William (Karen), Rick (Rita), Jim (Debbie); mother-in-law Janelle Thomason; nephews Matt (Janna), Marc (Amee), Mikel, Brent (Melanie), Nick (Brandi), Hunter (Morgan) Thomason;
Ten great-nephews and nieces; and many extended family and friends. The family gives special thanks to Dr. Jauss, her nurses Kim and Dena, and all the staff at CARTI NLR for their wonderful compassion and care.

Ed was an automobile and lawn care fanatic; he took much pride in keeping both pristine. He could tell you every car he ever owned, which was more than 50. Ed always had a beautiful lawn that was worthy of being Yard of the Month.

Visitation will be at 4pm on Saturday, June 17th , followed by the service at 5pm at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., North Little Rock, AR 72114.
