Edward Martin
Edward Houston Martin, Jr., 81, of Little Rock and a long time resident of Pine Bluff, passed away, Saturday, October 8, 2016. He was retired from Entergy Corp., formerly Arkansas Power and Light Company after a long employment there.
Houston was a 1954 graduate of Pine Bluff High School, and attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia and The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. From 1958 through 1962 he served with the U.S. Army at several domestic posts, was a literary enthusiast, and also enjoyed music, sports, fishing, and spent many winters in Florida.
He was born in Los Angeles, California to the late Edward H. and Ida Sheppard Martin. He had no surviving immediate family, but was indebted to "Chap" McGaughy and his wife Margaret of Little Rock for many good years of friendship.
