Edward Heater

Edward Joseph Heater, 90, passed away on July 31, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Edward and Marie Rosebuckle Heater on February 16, 1925. Edward was a World War II U. S. Army Veteran, serving in Italy. He was retired from the U.S. Post Office and enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sherwood.

Edward is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruby Hale Heater; four sons, Edward Heater (Paula) of El Paso, Benson Heater (Kelli) of Bartlett, TN, John Heater and Timothy Heater, both of Sherwood; five grandchildren, Melanie Lamb, Elizabeth Williams, Bryan Heater, Brooke Heater and Jonathon Heater; six great-grandchildren, Jonathan Higginbotham, Wade Helmick, Joshua Helmick, Haley Fairchild, Sophia Williams and Gabriel Heater; and two great-great grandchildren, Skylar Higginbotham and Grayson Helmick.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Henkel, Delia Roszkowski and Catherine Ward.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170. Online registry at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
