Edward Eason

Edward Lee Eason, 70, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away December 3, 2020.  He was born May 16, 1950 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Earnest Bryant and Betty (Allen) Eason.

Ed managed 8 Wheels Skating Rinks, Skate City and Rink 2 for years where he coached roller skating and speed skating to many young people. He taught Sunday School and worked with youth groups at Runyan 1st Baptist Church in the 80's - 90's.  Most recently he delivered pharmaceuticals to area hospitals.  He was a frontline worker during the COVID-19 pandemic and should be remembered as one.

Ed was an amazing man with many hobbies.  He enjoyed roller skating, golfing, fishing, bowling and his "happy place" Oaklawn.  He was the sweetest man ever who was always smiling, singing, dancing, cracking jokes and giving silly nicknames to people.  He loved his family with all his heart and was always telling his kids to "take care of them babies".

Preceding Ed in death are his parents and 2 brothers, Kenneth and Clifford.

Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 23 years, Patricia Eason of Benton, Arkansas; 6 children, Melynda Lucky (James), Timothy (Georgetta), Nicholas (Lori), Joseph (Kathy), Jacob (Shelbi) and Jordan; 20 grandchildren; 4 siblings Billy (Judy), Allen, Nancy Eason and Pat Downs (Greg); a host of nieces and nephews, family members and friends who love Ed and will miss him always.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life Memorial in the Spring.
