Edward G. Bond, Sr., 86, of Portland, Michigan, passed away March 30, 2010 in Little Rock. Born January 31, 1924 in Leota, Michigan to Fredrick D. and Viola Peck Bond, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and owner of Ed's Garage since 1959. Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by seven children, Susie Smith (Dean) and Edward Bond, Jr. (Barbara), both of Portland; Mary Vernon (Norman) of Ionia, Michigan, Diane Cudney (Greg) of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Karen Cudney (Kent) of Moorehead City, North Carolina, Cheryl Dillahunty (David) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Raymond Bond (Mary Jo) of Falmouth, Michigan. He is also survived by a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy Bond and daughter, Gail Bond.
Services with Military Honors will be held in Leota, Michigan at a later date.
