Edra Nell Bryan, age 80, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
She was born on August 21, 1940, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of John Mack Stovall and Winnie Juanita New Stovall. In May of 1968, she married William “Bill” J. Bryan, who predeceased her after 50 years of marriage. She is also predeceased by her parents; one son, Roy Mack Thomas; and one bother, Roy Mack Stovall.
Edra was a Christian in her faith. She worked as a caregiver for the mentally handicapped for many years starting in Fontana, California and retiring in Hot Springs. She loved to travel and play card games. Her family and her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew her.
She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Francine Bryan of Bedford, Virginia, William J. Bryan, Jr. and Tami Bryan of San Bernardino, California, Tim and Amanda Bryan of Land O’ Lakes, Florida and Randall and Kassie Wood of Hot Springs; two daughters and one son-in-law, Terri and Jimmy Willis of Hot Springs and Christine Crisanti of Big Bear, California; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Glen Stovall, William Stovall and Richard Stovall; her sister, Wanda Vines; nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of wonderful friends.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Pastor Carroll Graybeal officiating. Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 66% of the total seating capacity occupied at the church, avoidance of physical contact and all attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times.
