Edna Weeks

United Edna M. Weeks, born April 17, 1927 in Pulaski County, the first child of Otis and Oma Hogan died on August 16, 2007 at Springhill Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church in North Little Rock. She loved her church and was an enthusiastic volunteer there and in her community throughout her life. She was a MYF youth counselor for 26 years and Sunday School teacher for over 30 years and served on many church committees. She continued to tutor students in local public schools and volunteer at the Patrick Henry Hayes Center as recently as two months ago. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 35 years of service.
Edna was predeceased by her parents, her husband and best friend of 61 years, Floyd Weeks, and two brothers, Bill and Toney Hogan. Edna was the mother of Ronald Weeks and wife Carla of North Little Rock, the grandmother (MiMi) of Tory Weeks of San Francisco, Tanner Weeks and wife Paulina of North Little Rock, and Carlee Brown of North Little Rock; great-grandmother to Diana and Sophia. She was the sister of Una McClure and husband Frank of Jacksonville and Wilma Harrell and husband Billy of Mayflower and sister-in-law of Marlene Hogan of Conway. She had several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M., Monday at Gardner Memorial Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
