Edna Logan Roe, of Arkadelphia, died at Baptist Health Medical Center, Wednesday, January 2, 2008.

She was born August 24, 1909 in Weleetka, Oklahoma, The daughter of the late Ben and Banks Lawley. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Melton of North Little Rock and Wanda O'Quinn of Arkadelphia, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delton Roe, one twin sister Edythe Wright, sister Ruth Perkins, brother Jess Lawley and grandchild Susan Melton.

Edna was a member of First United Methodist Church in Arkadelphia and served as a volunteer Baptist Medical Center Auxiliary member for 30 years. She worked for Levi Strauss and as society editor for the SOUTHERN STANDARD.

Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a. m., Friday January 4, for family members, and a celebration service at First United Methodist Church at 1:30, with Reverend Carroll Jackson officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Honorary pallbearers will be sons-in-law, grandsons, Tommy Wilson and members of the Baptist Medical Center Auxiliary.
