Edith "Sissy" Mauldin Wright

Edith "Sissy" Mauldin Wright, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Glenwood.

Sissy was born on February 6, 1944, in Caddo Gap, Arkansas. She was born to Olen Mauldin and Vida Horn Mauldin. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 20 years, Bobby Wright; her partner of 28 years, Gary Jordan; her three sisters, Ola Mae Adams, Katherine Caudell, and Benita Royse; and her three brothers, Curtis Ray Mauldin, Charles Mauldin, and Erman Mauldin.

She was a beautiful singer, loved children, and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Sissy will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammie Rogers and Sarah Jade Wright; her son, Dale (Misty) Wright; her six grandchildren, Megan (Brandon) Davidson, Sean Rogers, Kimberly (Dalton) Barentine, Andrea (Jonathon) Wright Wheatly, Cheyanne Wright, and Isabella Wooten; her three great-grandchildren, Echo Wright, Delilah Barentine, and Lainey Wheatly; her brother, James (Shirley) Mauldin; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life for Sissy on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Shiloh Church of Christ is Harold Mauldin and Rick Collie officiating. 

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.
