Edgar Sykes Hensley (Ed), born July 19, 1928 and passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings; his loving wife, Gracie Hensley and one daughter, Gloria Jean Harris. Survived by one sister and three daughters, Linda Suttle (Buddy), Debra Hensley, Trish Thompson (Ronnie); stepchildren, Marty Sims (Richard), Don Tetleton, Mary Hoyt and Betty Jo Bensing (Bill); eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Edgar was a welder by trade and joined Boilermakers Local 69, Little Rock February 5, 1968 and retired April 4, 1994.
The family would like to thank Hospice Homecare for being such a blessing to us during the time spent with Daddy, especially his nurse JaLisa and CNA Natashia.
Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018, followed by a visitation at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2018 at Mars Hill Cemetery, Duck Hill, Mississippi under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home, Winona, Mississippi.
