Eddie Dean McCauley, age 64, of Daisy, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 4, 2016. He was born on September 28, 1951, in Nashville, the son of Grady and Eunice McCauley. He was preceded in death by his parents. Eddie lived in the Daisy community most of his life, where he and his ex-wife, Cafey, raised their children. He worked for over thirty-three years at Weyerhaeuser as a truck shop mechanic and later as a mill wright, prior to retirement. He had a passion for gardening and loved attending family get-togethers every chance he got. He will always be remembered as a loving Dad and brother. He is survived by his son, Mickey McCauley and his wife, Martha, of Murfreesboro; his daughter, Dena Kay McCauley and her boyfriend, Harold Timothy Collins, of Mount Ida; his brother, Jackie McCauley, and his wife, Lynn, of Killeen, Texas; two grandchildren, Mykel Shields of Murfreesboro and Shelby Shields of Brownwood, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 8, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Kevin Jewell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the services. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Neal, Daniel Cogburn, Larry Webb, Rickey McCauley, Rodger McCauley and Gerald Jewell. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
