Eben Allen Kiehl, 78, of Conway passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014. He was born February 22, 1936 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Herbert Louis and Mary Ann Carmack Kiehl. Eben was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Ethel Frances Kiehl. He served in the United States Army, retired from Phelps Industrial Fans after 45 years of employment, was a member of the Cherrywood Baptist Church in Sherwood, and loved to fish and loved his family.
He is survived by his children, Marshall (Teresa) Kiehl, Rosemary Denise (Mitch) Chism, Terry (Thea) Kiehl, Troy (Teresa) Kiehl, Tony Kiehl, Allen Kiehl, and Annette Kiehl; grandchildren, Shane Reed, Shannon Horton, Tiffany Young, Chris Kiehl, Krystal Lee, Raven Ellam, Allen Michael Kiehl, Travis Kiehl, Josh Workman, Joe Workman, Johanna Workman, Dewayne Cox, Johnny Cox, Joseph Cox, Denina Cox, Allie and Bracy Adkinson; and thirty great-grandchildren. Also, by a host of extended family members that he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. For online obituary, please visit
