Earle Myles Adams
Earle Myles Adams, 81, of Conway passed away November 11, 2023. He was born May 9, 1942 to Louis William Adams and Maida Ora (Moran) Adams in Little Rock. Myles was a Christian by faith, a longtime believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. Bible readings and study were among his favorite activities. He was always quick to let you know he was looking forward to âgoing homeâ. Near his earthly journeyâs end, he was comfortable, peaceful, and on his way âgoing homeâ, to his âheavenly homeâ to see his Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Steffany Jill (Adams) Tigert. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Donna Adams; son, Stephen Adams and his wife April; 2 grandsons; Alexander Adams and Chris Redding and his wife Kate; and many extended family members and friends.
In 1958 Myles was part of a group of students who were bused by the church he attended from Little Rock to Central Baptist College in Conway to continue his education during the integration crisis when Governor Faubus closed down the four high schools that year, Hall High being the one Myles attended. He also took part in Dr. Sondra Gordyâs historical interviews of those students around 2005, for her book, âFinding the Lost Year: What Happenedâ¦â Published in 2009, regarding his experiences during that time.
As a child and throughout his life, Myles loved everything mechanical related to cars, engines, building race cars, especially the 1964 Plymouth that he built ( Itâs a legend!) Myles always had a keen sense of every sound in an engine and could pinpoint, to the astonishment of others, anything that wasnât just right. He also served as an airplane engine mechanic when he joined the Air Force Reserve in the 1960âs.
Myles loved fishing. There was no place he would rather be than out in nature, on the water, with a gentle breeze, surrounded by several of his special fishing rods and tackle boxes. When the tug on the line hit, the fun began. He loved fishing in Bass Tournaments over the years, however, it really didnât matter to him whether it was a tournament or just a regular day out on the water bass fishing. If he was fishing, life was good.
Our family would like to extend our extreme gratitude to âSeeds of Loveâ (Crystal Barnett) of Greenbrier and Gentiva Hospice of Conway, and all of the dedicated employees of each; who, on a daily basis, provided such wonderful Christian love and extraordinary care for Myles and others, who are going through serious medical conditions when family can no longer provide the care needed for their loved one alone and at home. You are truly angels in disguise. God Bless you all.
A private memorial for family and friends will be announced at a later date Cremation and burial will be handled by Griffin Leggett. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Garden of the Good Shepherd.
