E. Flinn Greathouse, Sr., 97, of North Little Rock, passed away August 11, 2015. Born in Little Rock to Edgar Gaston Greathouse and Vivian Cajul Greathouse, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and Korea. A retired electronics technician with KATV Channel 7 for over 27 years, he was also a 33rd Degree Mason, and a deacon in the Baptist church.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Amelia Frances Polk Greathouse, second wife, Merle Gene Foster Greathouse, and a sister, Delores Smith, he is survived by his son, Edwin F. Greathouse, Jr. and his wife, Marion of Romance; grandchildren, Michelle Edette Gramling (Paul) of Fayetteville, Heather Edie Strickland (Lee) of Cabot, and Edwin F. Greathouse III of Romance; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Josiah, Drake, Jewel, Angel, Edwin IV and Abby; great-great-grandchild, Carter; and nephews, Jimmy, John and Lynn Polk.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Friday, August 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. John Polk, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorials may be made to the VA Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care, 4300 West Seventh St., Little Rock, AR 72205.
