Dwight J. Burkett

Dwight J. Burkett, age 78, of Springfield, Arkansas, passed away August 26, 2016, at his home. He was born March 22, 1938, in Greenbrier, to Jack and Bessie Burkett. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jennie Reed, and daughter, Cathy Burkett. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wright-Burkett; children, Dwayne Burkett, Ronnie Burkett and Rebecca (Marlon) Johnson, all of Conway; stepson, Nick (Shawn) Greek of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and by his siblings, Shelby Burkett, Carroll Gene Burkett, Doyle Burkett, Mattie Duncan, Geraldine Sanders, all of Iowa, and Glenda Heaslet in Conway. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, at 1:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway. Burial will be private at Beryl Cemetery.
