Dwayne Marvin Pettyjohn, age 75, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
Always the first with an easy smile and a joke, who never met a stranger; Dwayne Marvin Pettyjohn lived his life in a fun loving way. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 31, 1945, which earned him the nickname âlittle spook.â He was raised in Cahokia, Illinois by Otto and Jewell Roberts. He started his career with the railroad and then left to serve his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Soon after, he married the love of his life, Mary. The two have been married and having adventures for over 54 years. After the Army, Dwayne went into sales where he excelled.
Dwayne is survived by his wife, Mary Pettyjohn, sons, Michael Pettyjohn of Dallas, Texas, David Pettyjohn and son-in-law Geoff Parks of Boise, Idaho, daughters Dawn Salgueiro and son-in-law Joseph Salgueiro of Conway, Arkansas, and Jewel de Almeida of Berryville, Arkansas; grandsons Samuel Pettyjohn, William Bennett, and Connor Bennett; and granddaughter Brianna Salgueiro.
A Celebration of Dwayne's Life will be held at Griffin Leggett Conway on Tuesday, October 5th at 10 am
