Duncan George Nash, 94 of Vaden died Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Little Rock. He was born July 12, 1913 at Shaker Town to the late Boss and Bessie Nash. He was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church and of The Woodmen of the World. He lived in the Vaden Community for 70 years, doing construction work and farming. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Myrtle Irene Hunter Nash.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Nash (& Rose) of Lockesburg, Dr. Carl Nash (& Anita) of Eden, NC, and Paul Nash (& Sandra) of Wake Village, TX; two daughters, Maelyn Pennington of Little Rock, and Mary Ann Landers (& Charles) of Universal City, TX; four brothers, Phil, Roland, Bob, and Hollis Nash; a sister, Dorothy Lloyd; 10 grandchildren, Dr. Twyla Norsworth (& Keith) of Magnolia, Tim Nash (& Andrea) of Lindale, TX, Tena Cessna (& Jack) of Colorado Springs, CO, Lisa McCoy (&Dr. William) of Lagrange, GA, Dr. Sandra Hannegan (Dr. Chris) of Charleston, SC, Dr. Scott Nash (& Kathy) of Durham, NC, Paul Nash, Jr. ( & Emily) of Texarkana, TX, and Tommy, Brian, and Kristi Landers of Universal City, TX; and 12 great-grandchildren, Rachel Taylor, Jonathen Norsworthy, Natlie Cessna, Julianna Cessna, Matthew Nash, Mason Nash, Elizabeth McCoy, Rebecca McCoy, Mary Frances McCoy, Hannah McCoy, Alex Hannegan, and Katherine Nash.
Visitation is 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphia.
Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6th at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel, with Rev. J. E. Small officiating. Burial will be at Copeland Ridge Cemetery, near Vaden.
