Dr. Mickey O'Quinn of Arkadelphia died Sunday, July 6th, 2008 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. He was born on August 23, 1929 in McRae, Arkansas to the late Betty VanDusen Horn, who predeceased him. He was one of three children; sisters are Peggy Hampton of Hartselle, Alabama and Bobbie VanDusen of Marietta, Georgia. Mickey graduated from Malvern High School, Little Rock Junior College, Henderson State University and the University of Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of Arkadelphia; four children, Karm Crommett of Nederland, Texas, Darren O'Quinn of Little Rock, Kelly O'Quinn of Springdale and Kyle O'Quinn of Conway, six grandchildren, Michael and Allie Crommett of Nederland, Texas; Ryan, Mallory, Olivia and Emily O'Quinn of Little Rock.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 9th, 2008 at First United Methodist Church in Arkadelphia at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Carroll Jackson officiating. Private interment in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens will take place before the memorial service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 8th, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
