Dr. Gail Clark, age 67 passed away on Dec. 6, 2005 in Little Rock, AR with her family at her side. She was born March 5, 1938 in Arkadelphia, AR the daughter of the late, Julian A. and Louise Halley Clark. She was a graduate of Henderson State University, Indiana University and received a Doctorate from the University of Utah. She was an Associate Professor at Louisiana Tech University in the Department of Heath and Physical Education for 27 years. She was involved with the Senior Adult Exercise Program and was Coordinator of Graduate Studies for the Department. Dr. Clark served on University Committees and was involved in professional organizations at the Local, State and National levels. She was also active in the wildlife organizations and was interested in conservation programs. Gail was a participant in the Senior Olympics and was a board member of the Louisiana Gumbo Organization.
Survivors include her mother, Mary K. Clark of Little Rock; two brothers, Bob Clark and Steve Beck both of Little Rock; one sister, Susanne Clark Hogue of Little Rock.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM. Friday, Dec. 9, 2005 in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisiana Methodist Children's Home, Activities Director, 901 S. Vienna, Ruston, LA 71273; The Senior Adult Program at Louisiana Tech, PO Box 3176, Ruston, LA 71272 or the donor's choice.
