Doyne Oneal Delling, 76, of Mabelvale, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus, November 15, 2009, while surrounded by his loving family whom he loved so dearly. He was born March 3, 1933 in Melbourn, Arkansas to Ernest Delling and Ida Mae Oneal Delling who preceded him in death along with two sisters, Ada Gregory (Virgil) of Bryant and Thelma Stalnaker (Lindsey) of Little Rock.
Those left to cherish beautiful memories of his life are his loving wife and best friend of 54 years, Billie Jo Lammers Delling; one son Douglas Wayne of Little Rock; one precious daughter, Vicki Lynn Delling of the home and one special friend to the family, Carolyn Davidson of Bryant; one brother, Don Delling (Peggy); two sisters Julia Meyer (Norman) of Mabelvale and Peggy Hooker (Sonny) of North Little Rock; and several nieces, nephews and many many friends.
Doyne was a faithful member of the Missionary Baptist Church of Mabelvale where he attended since 1942. He was an Iron Worker by trade and worked with his brother, Don for 32 years. They belonged to the Iron Workers Local 321 in Little Rock.
Memorials may be made to Mabelvale Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 10300 Mabelvale West Road, Mabelvale, Arkansas 72103.
Funeral services will be held at Mabelvale Missionary Baptist Church at 10300 Mabelvale West Road, Wednesday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Robbie Horn officiating. Visitation will be at the church at 9:00 a.m. before services. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
