Doyle Davis Hunter age 87 of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Little Rock. He was born October 22, 1921 in Dalark, Arkansas and was the last surviving child of the late Robert Wiley and Bama Virginia Davis Hunter. Doyle was a member of Arkadelphia Church of Christ, retired from the Sysco Corporation in Nashville, Tennessee and U. S. Army veteran of WW II serving from 1940- 1945. His wife, Flora West Hunter and one daughter, Linda Hunter preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Ann Chapman of Madison, Tennessee; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three nephews and four nieces.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2009 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with D. R. Smith and Bob Langley officiating. Interment will be in Atchley Cemetery at Dalark. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Atchley Cemetery Fund c/o Ed or Charlotte Maynard, 2470 N.
