Doyle Edward Henson age 75 of Bismarck went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 19, 2009 in Hot Springs. He was born February 23, 1934 in Amity, Arkansas the son of the late Jess and Bertha Skates Henson. Doyle was a retired welder working with Alumacraft Boat Co. in Arkadelphia for several years and later owned and operated Henson's Prop Shop in Bismarck. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a devoted family man. One brother, Bill Henson and one sister, Hazel Sheets preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Cecily Chess Henson; one son, David Houpt and wife, Denese of Hot Springs; three daughters, Gayle Baker of Hot Springs, AR; Pamela Paquette of Benton, AR; Diana Griffith of Hot Springs, AR; three extended daughters, Regina Walker and husband, Michael of Bismarck, AR; Tina Jones of Idaho; Carol Hall and husband, Leigh of Colorado; two brothers, James Henson and wife, Peggy of Washington; Ray Henson of California; one sister, Florene Goolsby of Pt. Cedar, AR; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, October 22, 2009 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel in Arkadelphia with Bro. Robert Cossey officiating with burial in Sweet Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tyler Arvis Paquette, Nathan Emmett Paquette, Aaron Doyle Green, Larry Michael Griffith, Michael Leon Walker and Dr. David L. Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Neeraj Bharany and the staff of Arkansas Oncology, Odyssey Hospice Healthcare and National Park Medical Center. The family would to extend a special thank-you to Cheryl Sanders, Doyle's caregiver. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or to Cecily Henson Memorial Fund% U. S. Bank.
