Dovie Lou Pritchard

Dovie Pritchard, age 82, of Hot Springs, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

She was born on April 30, 1940, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Earnest Arlston Magby and Hazel Elizabeth Chambers Magby.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Pritchard on December 23, 2021; her son, Gary Covey; her parents; one brother, William Magby; and one sister, Leona Barnet.

Dovie was a Christian in her faith.  Dovie and Elmer loved to travel and see new places.  They especially loved going on cruises.  She was a homemaker and loved her family very much.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Vickie Covey; her daughter, Carley Rosa Tompkins; six grandchildren, Trista, Justin, Chrissy, Michael, Cody, Daylen; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Magby and Robbert Magby; several nieces, nephew, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 5, 2022, with Bro. Buddy Lemons officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation held from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

Pallbearers are Justin Covey, Derek McDorman, Rocky Magby, Matthew Magby, Johnathan Smith, and Randy Magby.

Honorary pallbearers are the nurses and staff of Hospice Home Care, National Park Medical Center and Bill and Darlene Smith
