Dovey Marie Adcock

Dovey Marie Adcock, 74, of Bauxite, Arkansas went to be with her Lord March 8, 2022.  She was born January 18, 1948 in Dermott, Arkansas to John and Juanita (Brown) Williams.

Dovey was a faithful member of Otter Creek Assembly of God for forty years.  She and her husband, Charles, were always at the church when the doors were open.  Dovey could often be found reading and studying the Bible.  She quoted scriptures from memory and posted note cards with favorite scriptures written on them all around her home.  Dovey adored her family, and her grandchildren were so special to her.  She loved celebrating holidays and looked forward to hosting gatherings for all her family at her home.  Dovey made beautiful ceramic pieces and enjoyed antiquing.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Preceding Dovey in death are her husband of 59 years, Charles E. Adcock; daughter, Tonya Adcock; and father, John Williams.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons:  Chuck Adcock and wife Gaila of Bauxite, Arkansas and Randy Adcock and wife Sherry of Magnet Cove, Arkansas; grandchildren:  Colby Adcock and wife Erin, Hunter Adcock and wife Jessica, Alex Adcock, and Rebecca Adcock; great-grandchildren:  Abigail, Westlynn, Graham, and Miley; mother, Juanita Williams of Monticello, Arkansas; four sisters:  Martha Holstead and husband Geary of Monticello, Mary Cooper and husband Gary of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Joan Bowden of Monticello, and Karla Mitchell and husband Rusty of Monticello; and many family members and friends.

Visitation held 5:00-7:00 PM, Monday, March 14, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.  Funeral service, officiated by Pastor John Tracy, held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 15 at Life Church of Little Rock, 9415 Stagecoach Rd, Little Rock.  Burial held at 2:00 PM, Rash Cemetery.
