Douglas Robinson, 85, of McRae, Arkansas, was born July 16, 1923, at Beebe, Arkansas, to Hobert and Pearlie Benton Robinson, and he passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008.
Doug was a member of Garner Baptist Church and a deacon. He loved his church very much. He was retired from McRae Public Schools.
Doug leaves to cherish his memory four brothers, Roland of Cabot, James of California, Dewey and wife Camilla of Little Rock, and Bobby and wife Rose of McRae; one sister, Velma Bastic of California; special nephew Bobby Wayne Robinson and special great-great-nephew, Jaden Laurence, whom he loved very much; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He goes to join his parents; two brothers, Horace Robinson and Wayne Earl Robinson; and one sister, Sylvia Robinson.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2008, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Antioch Cemetery.
