Douglas "Doug" G. Ketchum, 53, of North Little Rock passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010. He was born March 5, 1957 in Seattle, Washington to the late Zane and Dessie Springer Ketchum. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a kind man and never met a stranger. Doug was a wonderful and loving husband and father who enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his son play football and baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cheryl Ketchum; son, Zach Ketchum; both of North Little Rock; brother Zane Wyll, of Port Townsend, Washington and Duane Ketchum; sister-in-law, Diana Alexander; brother-in-law, Danny Youngblood and wife, Donna, nephew, Daniel Youngblood, all of North Little Rock; nephew, Chris Youngblood and wife, Amy, of Cabot; two grand nephews; one grand niece; along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Zane and Dessie Ketchum.
Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
