Douglas "Doug" Francis Killian

Douglas “Doug” Francis Killian, age 78, of Amity, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023.

He was born on February 6, 1944, in Chebeague Island, Maine, the son of the late Francis Lonzo Killian and Geraldine Small Killian.

On July 24, 1965, he married the love of his life, Mary Lou Winford, who preceded him in death on February 14, 2016.

Doug started Killian's Heating and Air, which he proudly passed on to his younger son, Brooks, who continues to carry on his father’s legacy. Doug enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, was an avid outdoorsman and spent many years coaching both of his sons in baseball, which brought many proud memories between him and his sons.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Kriss White of Kirby; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Paul Killian of Lowell, Indiana, and Brooks and Brandie Killian of Glenwood; six grandchildren, Steven White, Maddie Taylor, Conner Killian, Mary Kate Killian, Collin Killian, and Bentley Killian;  three great-grandchildren, Cloe White, Caylyn White and Morgan Taylor; two brothers, Bruce Killian of Mena and David Killian and his wife, Joan-Marie Lodge of East Greenwich, Rhode Island; one sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Larry Partridge of Amity; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM, Friday, January 6, 2023, in the Coker Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel-Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.

Pallbearers will be Steven White, Colin Killian, Logan Taylor, Wesley Stone, Bradley Manasco, Terry Massey, Kenny Lyons and Shane Killian.
