Doug Duchene

Doug A. Duchene, of North Little Rock, AR died December 4, 2022. He was born in San Diego, CA to Denis and Joyce Duchene.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jackie Duchene; son and daughter-in-law:  Steven and Ryshel Duchene; son; Paul Duchene; two granddaughters; Paislee and Kiyah Duchene; mother, Joyce Duchene; two brothers: Denis and David (Mara) Duchene; several nieces, nephews, and extended family member.

Doug’s greatest joy was his family—especially his granddaughters. His face would light up whenever he got the chance to video chat with the girls and would talk of them often. As a matter of fact, the only pictures he had on his phone were of Paislee and Kiyah. As a grandfather, he was affectionately referred to as “Paka Doug.” He loved cars and motorcycles; a trait that he passed down to each of his sons, respectively. An interesting thing about Doug was that he was a friend of anyone and enjoyed talking with all who would listen. Doug was a Jack-of-all-trades to include being a painter for over 20 years. A handy man at heart, Doug could repair, build, and maintain nearly anything.  If he didn’t know how to fix something, he would learn how to. He enjoyed late night snacks and was especially fond of cookies of any kind.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Eleanor (Nana and Baba) Montague; father, Denis Duchene; his sister, Robin Tipton (Duchene); mother-in-law, Mary Chambers and niece, Heather Giao.
