Dorothy Zimmerman Sublett, 85, formerly of North Little Rock and Hot Springs passed away in Richmond, Texas on Thursday, November 16, 2006. In 1939 she graduated from Hot Springs High School and in 1943 she fulfilled a lifelong dream, graduating from St. Vincent Infirmary Nursing School. She worked as a dedicated registered nurse for many years at hospitals in Hot Springs and Little Rock. Later, she was a founding member of the Victory Sunday School Class at Grand Avenue Methodist Church of Hot Springs. Dorothy?s proudest accomplishment was her family who loved her very much.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Moore (Keith), of Missouri City, Texas and Janalee Zanoff (Mike), of North Little Rock; three grandchildren, Patrick Mayhan (Michele), of Houston, Texas, Julia Yao, of Sugarland, Texas and Jake Zanoff, of North Little Rock; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Lewis, of Sugarland, Texas and six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. and Media Mae Zimmerman; brothers, Roy E. Jones and Frank ?Buddy? Zimmerman.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Hot Springs. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.
