Dorothy Smith

Dorothy Smith (87) of North Little Rock passed away January 16, 2022.  She was born April 12, 1934, in South Boston, Virginia to Luther and Lessie Conner.   Dorothy spent her life being a devoted Army wife while raising five children.   She was a woman of great faith and a member of the Church of Christ.   She loved flowers, gardening, bold colors and always had a romance novel close by.  Above all else was her immense love for her family.  The true definition of a family Matriarch and nothing made her happier than having her entire family together.  There was never a question of her love for us and we will miss her always and forever, but we know she is where she has longed to be:  at the feet of our Savior and back in the arms of her beloved husband.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Davis (Howard), Wanda Smith, Cathy Graessle (Mark), Ivon Smith (Tracy) and Sendy Smith; five grandchildren, Tabatha Wilkerson, Sarah Elkins, Nikki Desiderio, Jesse Smith and Susan Davis; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ivon Smith, and her parents.

Memorials may be sent to Humane Society of Pulaski County .

A private ceremony will be held at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
