Dorothy J. Smith, 89 of Sardis, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 in Little Rock. She was born on June 20, 1922 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Dewey Crook and Flossie Wilkerson -Crook.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a homemaker, who loved to fish, and she will be remembered by her family for amazing ability to cook.
She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde E. Smith, a daughter Janice Elaine Markham, her parents and one brother and one sister.
Survivors include her Daughters Brenda Bearden of Sardis, Linda Murray of Alexander; Sons Ronald Smith of Alexander, Larry Smith of Lexa, Darrell Smith of Palm Springs, CA;, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock.
