Dorothy Satterfield

Dorothy Mae Satterfield passed away, February 27, 2017. She was born January 18, 1931 in Corpus Christ, TX to the late, Jim and Nora Creech of Rogers, AR.
Dorothy moved to northwest Arkansas at a very early age and graduated from Rogers High School. She went on to graduate from the Baptist School of Nursing in Little Rock and began a career in nursing as a registered nurse. She married in 1951 and raised her children in North Little Rock until her husband's untimely death in 1992.
"Grandma Dot" has always taken great joy in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; but also contributed greatly to the lives of numerous other young people struggling to find their way in life. She was everybody's "mom" or grandma.
Dorothy enjoyed traveling and made several trips with her church group to places like Pasadena, CA to the Rose Festival, to New York, NY; Hawaii, and Israel. She also enjoyed traveling with her family to many domestic points such as San Francisco, Washington, DC and many campgrounds all over the south.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, J.W. "Dub" Satterfield, and very recently her sister, Margaret Letteer, and two brothers and a grandson. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Sacrey of Hideaway, TX; three sons, Bill Satterfield of Sherwood, Mark Satterfield of Springdale, AR and James Satterfield of North Little Rock; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
