Dorothy Pegrum

Dorothy Evelyn Trawick Pegrum, passed away December 23, 2014 at the age of 91. She was born and raised in Gravesville, AR.
She was a faithful servant of God; she loved her family and her church and the many activities there. She was a homemaker. At the age of 64, she went back to school and received her GED. Dorothy was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. She was very active in quilting and gardening, and loved watching birds, singing Gospel hymns and Blue Grass music performed by her late nephew Danny Trawick's Old School Band; she was in a ukulele band but played the tambourine. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Dominos. She never met a stranger; no matter who you were she treated everyone the same. All the kids and grandkids will miss her very special "Nanny hugs." She resided in North Little Rock/Sherwood since the early 1950's until 2012 when she became a resident of Highland of Heber Springs Health and Rehab. There she was selected as Queen of Highlands of Heber Springs in 2014. She will be missed by all and her humor and her wit will be remembered for a lifetime.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Sanders and Carolyn Bell; a sister, Gwen Pappas; six grandchildren, Kevin Sanders (Heather), Kara DuPriest (Jeff), Dustin Benetz (Tracie), Erin Bell-Morris, Kris Sanders (Jan) and Corey Benetz; ten great-grandchildren, Blake, Jake, Alex, Ben, Mikayla, Madison, Kylee, Jack, Kolby and Katin; her nieces and nephews, Wava Parker (Gary), Kelly Winfrey (Brad), Cathy Corrigan (Mike), Guy Spann (Mary-Alice), Kristin Pappas and Peter Pappas, Debbie, Patricia, Ronnie Casto, Johnny Casto and David Casto.
