Dorothy Dimple Olmstead, of Tupelo, Mississipi, formerly of Beebe, Arkansas, was born April 20, 1919, in Lonoke County, Arkansas to Charlie and Maude Fawcett, and she died September 29, 2008, in Tupelo. Dorothy and her husband Bob owned and operated Olmstead's Furniture Store in Beebe for many years. She was a member of the Beebe First United Methodist Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, R.E. (Bob) Olmstead; and is survived by three sons, Neal Olmstead (Nadine) of Cabot, Owen Olmstead (Mackie) of Cordova, Tennessee, and Mike Olmstead (Joyce) of Tupelo, Mississippi; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Opal Wilkin of Clearwater, Florida.
Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Beebe Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Health Care Foundation at North Mississippi Medical Center, 830 S. Gloster St., Tupelo, MS 38801.
