Dorothy A. Newton, 90, of Bismarck, Arkansas, died Thursday, August 2nd, 2018, at the Court Yards Gardens in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

She was born December 29th, 1927, in LaPorte, IN, to Alfred W. and Ella (Schroeder) Koehn. On February 15th, 1947, she married William R. Newton who preceded her in death. Two sisters, Sally (Keith) Hyatte, Irene Koehn, four brothers, John (Gene) Koehn, Clair (Dorothea) Koehn, Billy (Mary) Koehn and Larry Koehn, Sister-In- Laws, Sharon (Phillip) Strohl and Barbara Ann Pennington, also, preceded her in death.

Dorothy worked as a waitress in the Koehn Restaurant in LaPorte, IN and later at the 8th Street Café in Michigan City, IN. She loved traveling and animals. She had many pets throughout her life. She, also, enjoyed riding her bike and collecting cans. She became well known on her bike route as "The Can Lady".

Surviving are brother-In-Law, Phillip Strohl, who was Dorothy's caregiver for the past 8 years, nieces, Christine (Pete) Claire and Kelly (Brian) Clum, nephew, Richard (Laura) Strohl; good friend and neighbor, Lisa Townsend and many other nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is being cremated. Arrangements are being made, by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, for a graveside service in September.
