Dorothy Maxwell, 67, of Little Rock, passed away November 1, 2009. Born August 29, 1942 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to James and Verna Williams, she retired from the Arkansas Department of Economic Development. She was an avid football fan, a member of the Friends of Central Arkansas Library (FOCAL) and of Pinnacle Mountain Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth P. Maxwell, she is survived by her daughters, Angela Williams (Anthony) of Maumelle, Megan Bolton (Tim) of Central City, Iowa, Heather Maxwell and Erin Maxwell, both of Conway; sisters, Tammie Burgess (Bobby) of Vilonia and Melodie Meriweather (John) of Beebe; brother, Tony Catlett (Alice) of Cabot; five grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be Saturday, November 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, officiated by Mike Carpenter. Visitation will begin at Noon until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FOCAL, 100 Rock St., Little Rock, AR 72201.
