Dorothy Hope Bright

Dorothy Hope Bright, age 81, of Kingman, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021.

She was born on July 13, 1939, in New Mexico, the daughter of Charles Wiles Barton and Nedra Akers Barton. On November 22, 1958, she married Roger Bright. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, John Bright; her great-grandson, Bryson Rhodes; and her sister, Patricia Ann Barton.

Dorothy was a Christian in her faith. She worked as an LPN for 35 years. She loved to crochet, sew clothing for her family and Christmas.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roger Bright of Kingman, Arizona; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dale and Kathy Bright Seattle, Washington and Daniel Bright of Kingman, Arizona; two daughters and on son-in-law, Nedra Barton and Harry Laumeister and Carol Rush, all of Kingman, Arizona; seven grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; her brother, James Barton of Show Low, Arizona; two sisters, Rosemary Hunter of Eureka, California and Alice McCoy of Springfield, Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 10:00 AM, with Bruce Cozart officiating in the Grants Chapel Cemetery.
