Dorothy Heard Hardester

Dorothy Pauline Heard Hardester, 96, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away April 21, 2019. Mrs. Hardester was born February 14, 1923 in Roland, Arkansas to the late John Albert and Minnie Diehl Heard. She was a member of Levy Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class and a lifetime member of Parent-Teacher Association.

Dorothy was married to Kenneth Hardester on December 14, 1945; he preceded her in death on December 15, 1985 along with a son, Paul Clinton Hardester on January 6, 2000. Six brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Serita J. Johnson and husband Mac of Hernando, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Bankston Johnson and Jessica Lindsey, Katie Hardester, Nadia Davidson and Samantha Taylor; two great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; a special niece and her caregiver, Margaret B. Tillman.

Graveside services will be at Edgewood Memorial Park, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 12:00 noon, with a visitation prior to service at 11:30 a.m., at the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
