Dorothy Jo Wingfield Hays, age 83, of Southaven, Mississippi, formerly of Caddo Valley, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Desoto Health Nursing Home, in Southaven, Mississippi. She was born on June 29, 1931 in Mountain Springs, AR. the daughter of the late Wesley Oliver and Lillie Alma Parks Wingfield.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Benton Hays, eight sisters; Carolyn Cash, Eva Hogue, Ruby Mahoney, Ola Cox, Elsie Goza, Katie Cottingham, Mina Joyce Woolsey, Ethel West, and four brothers, Francis Tim, Fred O., Sidney, and Wilburn Wingfield. She is survived by her sister Ann Langley, of Little Rock.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, sister, and a caring friend to many people. She was a member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church and the Arkie Stars Square Dance Club.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 21st at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. James Calhoun officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
