Dorothy Hamilton

Dorothy L. Hamilton of Beebe, Arkansas, was born March 26, 1929, and walked on the streets of gold Tuesday, October 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Junior (A. J.) Hamilton; her parents, Ike and Rosie Redding; one brother, Alvie Redding; and a grandson, Jeremy Swicegood.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Gala (Dale) Hughart and Gina (Gary) Swicegood; grandchildren, Justin Scroggins, Blake (Alisha) Scroggins, Aubree Hughart, Josh (Kim) Swicegood; great-grandsons, Dakota and A. J.; sister, Mable Petker; brothers, Charles (Ada) Redding, Elmer (Laverne) Redding, Linzie (Anita) Redding, Gene (Joyce) Redding; and a host of nieces and nephews. She loved her entire family. Before she passed away she wanted all her family to know she loved them and would see all of them again. To all her friends, she loved them too.
Family will receive friends and family from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Open Arms Assembly Of God, with burial to follow at Edgewood Cemetery.
