Dorothy Elmore

Dorothy Jean Dorsey Elmore, 93, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2013. She was born on July 17, 1920 in Ico, Arkansas to the late Joe and Mattie Dorsey. She graduated from Sheridan High School and was a member of Levy Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, B.P. Elmore; her son, Eugene "Gene" Elmore; grandson, Michael Elmore; granddaughter, Lisa Black; son-in-law, Gene Wise; three sisters and five brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Wise, of North Little Rock; grandsons, Mark Elmore (Melissa), of San Antonio, Texas, Lance Black (Jodi), of Cabot, Paul Elmore, of Suwanne, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Black, Claudia, Louis, Tabatha, Rebecca, Gideon, Isaac and Naomi Elmore; sister, Marie Watson, of Fordyce; and daughter-in-law, Jan Elmore, of Marietta, Georgia.
The family would like to thank the staff of Stonehaven Assisted Living of Maumelle and Arkansas Hospice for their loving care of Dorothy.
The family requests donation be made to Arkansas Hospice, Levy Baptist Church or Gideon's International.
