Dorothy Edrington

Dorothy Turner Edrington, 85, of North Little Rock, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away September 13, 2010. She was born July 15, 1925, in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ira Elliot and Della Head Turner.
Dorothy was a devoted Christian and member of Levy Baptist Church for 52 years, many of which were spent teaching children's Sunday school. She made home a special place for her family; she loved to cook and work in her flower gardens. She retired as a bookkeeper from Arkansas Nursery and Florists.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 56 years, John Edrington. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Williams; grandson, Jason Adams and wife, Amy; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Morgan and Andrew Adams; brother, I.E. Turner and wife, Betty; sister-in-law, Alene Williams and husband, Vic; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care over the last few months.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170 with Rev. Al Sparkman officiating. Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock. Memorials may be made to Levy Baptist Church, 3501 Pike Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118 or charity of choice.
