Dorothy Smith Holland Dube, 86 of Sherwood, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, April 3, 2009. She was the owner of Dorothy?s women?s clothing stores of Cabot, North Little Rock, and the Excelsior Hotel in Little Rock for 37 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock for more than 30 years.
Survivors are her husband, Anthony Dube of North Little Rock; 2 daughters, Janelle Burks (Jon) of North Little Rock, and Joan Pehosh (Mike) of Virginia; 1 son, Fred Holland (Kristina) of Tennessee; grandchildren, Rev. Greg Burks (Susan), Todd Burks (Dr. Karen), Christopher Burks (Renee), Brett Pehosh (Stacey), Dr. Lisa Martin (Scott), and Liam Holland; great-grandchildren, Parker, Scott, Sandy, Graham, Addison, and Mackenzie Burks, and Isabelle, Isaiah, and Jacob Martin; sisters, Lottie Stubbs of Fayetteville, Adlee Stratton of Memphis, and Sharon Bass of Beebe; brothers, J.B. Smith of Marianna, Sam Smith of Ward, Gene Smith of Cabot, and Gary Smith of Cabot.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burrel Richard and Edith Smith; the father of her children, Raymond Holland; sister, Madge King; and brothers, Alvin, Julius, and Jimmy Smith.
Funeral will be held at10:00 A.M. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock. Committal service will be at 12:15 P.M. at Butlerville Cemetery in Butlerville, Arkansas.
