Dorothy Downing
Dorothy M. Downing, 82, of Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2007. She was born August 28, 1925 in Little Rock to Edwin George, Sr. and Grace Rohlman Hoyt. She was a long time member of Prime Timers at Christ the King Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Eugene Downing, and her parents. She is survived by daughters, Sharon Balmaz (Gabriel), Linda Bryan and Tootie Bray; son, Gene Downing (Patti); sister, Sabina Lukaszewicz; brothers, Edwin George Hoyt, Jr. (Gloria) and Bill Frank Hoyt (Nell); granddaughter, Amy Bryan; grandson, Whitson Bryan (Amanda); and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 6:00 P.M. with a Rosary immediately following at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 10, 2007, at Christ the King Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at 10:00 A.M. at Christ the King Church, 4000 North Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, with Msgr. Francis I. Malone, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Msgr. J. Gaston Hebert Endowment Fund, Christ the King Church, 4000 North Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72212.
