Dorothy Davis Drye, age 84, of Amity, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016. She was born on May 30, 1932 at Rosboro, the daughter of Leroy Kizer and Minnie Spears Kizer. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Milton Jack Davis; her second husband, R. M. Drye; five children, Terry Davis, Roy Davis, Beverly Cox, infant Ricky Davis and infant Brenda Davis; her parents; two brothers, Doyle Kizer and Paul Kizer; and her sister, Thelma Mitchell. Dorothy was a member of the Culvert Springs Assembly of God Church and enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by eight children and their spouses, Steve and Marcia Davis of Amity, Jackie Davis of Amity, Diane and Shelby Sheets of Point Cedar, Betty Stanley of Fouke, Larry Davis of Amity, Velda Holt of Hot Springs, Violet and Ed Skinner of Amity and Becky and Mike Avery of Delight; 34 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sharon and Rick Brewer of Glenwood, Alline and Archie Parker and Pearlie Vandergrift, both of Amity; her brother-in-law, Winford Mitchell of Glenwood; her sisters-in-law, Faye Norris of Glenwood and Edna Kizer of Dierks; two step-sons, Herb Drye and Jeff Drye, both of Whitehall; and two step-daughters, Patricia Baugh and Brenda Sperry, both of Redfield. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 12, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood. Visitation will be Sunday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
