Dorothy Janice Burke, 69 of Jacksonville, passed away April 30, 2014 in Jacksonville. She was born on June 17, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Hulon Barker and Virginia Westbrook.
Dorothy was a former Insurance Agent for Equitable Insurance Company, who enjoyed playing piano by ear.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Burke and son Steven Mathis.
Survivors include her children Nolen Gossett, Dee Mathis and Deanna Gossett; her mother Virginia Young; a brother Wayne Barker, sister Peggy Strange and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the John Irvin Pavilion at Burns Park in North Little Rock. Arrangements by Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.
